Causes of Oily Skin

Every person’s skin has some oil on it. The sebaceous glands behind each pore secrete a natural oil called sebum, which keeps your skin hydrated and healthy. However, excess production of oil by the glands can result in oily skin.

If your skin appears glossy all the time and you need multiple blotting sheets in a day, you have oily skin. Even hours after washing, greasy skin may still feel oily.

Additionally, sebum combines with dead skin cells and becomes trapped in your pores, increasing the likelihood of breakouts.

Factors related to lifestyle, environment, and heredity might contribute to oily skin. Although greasy skin is unavoidable, there are things you can do to lessen its oiliness. Finding one or more of these seven fundamental reasons is the key.

1. Genetics

Genes causes of oily skin

If you have oily skin, then it could be a genetic problem in which your parents or grandparents have oily skin. It’s quite possible, that you had genetic oily skin.

2. Protein

Skin loses protein such as collagen, a natural process. Oily skin produces collagen and sebum which helps in anti-aging.

3. Large Pores

Sometimes pores were stretched cause of anti-aging, weight gain, and previous breakouts.

4. Using the wrong Skincare Product

Wrong Skin Care Combination
